Bailey Beaderstadt: Graphic Designer Spotlight

As a graduate from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, Bailey brings experience in customer service, graphic design, branding, and illustration. She develops creative and engaging digital and print designs for clients. These experiences contribute to her interest for designing a variety of work and supporting nonprofits. On her days off, Bailey enjoys jogging, drawing, or watching on her favorite sport teams.

Spotlight Interview

Briefly describe what you do in a day

“I work with my team to develop creative designs in both digital and print media for our clients. The majority of my day is spent working in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop while drinking coffee. I design event materials, create fundraising and sponsorship products, assist our clients with branding, and more!”

What is the best part of your job?

“I love the variety of design work that I get to create, and I love being able to work in such a collaborative, creative environment with fun and intelligent people who continuously help me to grow. I also really enjoy JMA’s work environment. Sharing the love of food, drinks, and dogs with my coworkers, it can’t get much better than that!”

What is your proudest moment at JMA?

“It is extremely rewarding to see my design work in action. I am proud when a webpage that I designed is published. I am happy when I see event material go together beautifully and cohesively for our events. It feels great to see all of JMA’s hard work pay off for our amazing clients!”

What are three words to describe yourself?

“Creative. Patient. Positive.”

How do you define success?

To me, success means contributing your strengths to a community, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and continuously trying to learn.

What is the best meal you’ve ever had?

“Anything my grandma makes! Her Yorkshire pudding is to die for.”
